word properties, mental lexicon

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Psychology, Czech Academy of Sciences.

My main research interests revolve around how various word properties, such as imageability or concreteness, affect language processing, representation and acquisition, both in L1 and L2. During my research journey, I have looked into how word semantics determines acquisition of certain aspects of L1 grammar and I have collaborated on projects collecting sets of word norms along multiple dimensions, which can be further employed as valuable resources in future psycholinguistic research. I am also dealing with how individual word properties interact with each other and what actually constitutes the core of their well-documented effects on language performance.
