Hi, nice to meet you! My name is David, and I hold a Master of Science in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Pavia and am currently a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences in the EAGLeLab, under the supervision of Professor Filip Smolík, where I am preparing to begin my PhD studies.
My primary research interests lie in cognitive neuroscience and evolutionary psychology, alongside a strong interest in developmental psycholinguistics, early language acquisition, and epistemic vigilance. Methodologically, my background includes work with non-invasive brain stimulation, EEG, and fNIRS. I have a particular ongoing interest in the cerebellum—building on my previous research investigating its role in empathy—and I am broadly fascinated by the biological and neural mechanisms underlying cognitive development and human communication.
I plan to further synthesize these neuroimaging, neuromodulation, and evolutionary perspectives during my doctoral research.
